A Clinical Nurse Leader is a master’s educated nurse, prepared for practice across the continuum of care within any healthcare setting. Developed by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing in collaboration with leaders from healthcare practice and education, CNLs enter nursing as beginner nurses but tend to rise faster, earn more, and lead at the bedside, on the unit, and in healthcare systems because of all they bring to the table.
